Bill Getchell of Point Pleasant submitted this postcard of the canal and aqueduct beside the Point Pleasant Inn. Originally built in 1792 and reconstructed with a third-story addition in 1812 after a fire, the inn today functions as the F. P. Kolbe shop.
Dated Feb. 14, 1906, the card’s sender writes: “Where you first took your swimming lesson.”
