Old Rounce: New Hope's first gender nonconformist

This snippet is from a 1908 essay by Richard Randolph Parry, later published in A Collection of Papers Read Before the Bucks County Historical Society, (Volume III, p 547)

It makes me happy to be reminded that human beings of all kinds lived then -- the 1840s, if my math is correct -- just the same as today. The past feels much more interesting and tangible to me when I can relate to it. I wish I knew more about "Old Rounce" -- a name, for instance, would be nice.

Peace to his ashes.
