These clippings on the Bucks County Amateur Open Championship were mixed in, mysteriously, with a bunch of old files on the Bucks County Courthouse. (I transcribed the caption below because I'm cool like that.)

Does anyone remember the August 7, 1971 championship?

JUST ONE GOOD SHOT - Hole in one during the Bucks County Amateur Open Championship Friday, Aug. 27, will win the golfer a free automobile. Different cars will he awarded for each of the course's four holes. Three of them are shown above with dealers and the sponsors who bought the insurance policies to pay far them. From left to right are William Booz, of Nationwide Insurance, a sponsor; Richard Eyer, of Bean, Mason & Eyer, insurance brokers, sponsor; George Frankenfield, of Frankenfield Buick; Dick Bock, of Bean, Mason, Eyer; Al Roup, and Mel Harris. of Conroy Ford: Harry McCann, president of Doylestown Fire Co., beneficiary of the tournament; John Mason; Bill Atkinson of Ray Mills Chevrolet and Frank LaRosa, Doylestown Township supervisor, chairman of the event. Holding the flag is Mel's daughter, Sandy. Other co-sponsors of cars are Dom Ventresca, custom tailor, Doylestown Shopping Center Association and Sylvan Pools Inc. Arrangements are underway for the fourth auto. Tickets, tax-deductible at $10 (greens fee included) may be obtained by calling Doylestown Country Club (348-3986) or Doylestown Township Budding (348-3255). Other area businessmen are contributing savings bonds and merchandise to swell the prize list. Champions are to be crowned in four divisions. All golfers are eligible to compete.
