Hi Rayna

We met at our house when you and Tom stopped by for a meal.

I mentioned to you that a house I visited in the 1980s (not having a clue where it was or is now) in Bucks County had a historical story relating to a finance that had a house built for his wife to be. When he discovered that his bride to be was unfaithful, he rode out on horseback to the almost finished house and stopped the work. He was never seen again.

His name was Brown. The house had a plague on it titled "Brown's Folly" telling this story.

I heard from my wife that you might have come across this story and might have located the house.

Any news?

Thanks.

Mike

Hey there Michael!

Check out the attached picture. Is that the place?

Let me know,

Rayna

Rayna!

It is - photo of outside looks right. It has an extension on the back which you cannot see in this photo, but shows up on Google Earth. I checked Folly Road on Google Earth in Warrington and found a similar shaped home with a long driveway up to the side of it so it looks right from above. It all makes sense.

Thanks. Cool. So I visited Warrington back in 1981.

Here is some telecom history for you. (You might know this already.)  The telephone prefix in New Hope is 862 which was originally VO-2 for Volunteer 2. Langhorne prefix 757 was known as SK-7 for Skyline 7, and Levittown 949 (at least in Middletown township Twin Oaks) was WI-9 for Windsor 9. Just some trivia.

Thanks a bunch!

Mike
