CHRISTMAS IN JAIL
Forty Handy Inmates Visited by Santa and Have a Party

It's not so tough being in jail this Christmas at the Bucks County Prison if you're looking for something to eat.

Warden Earl Handy promoted a Christmas party for the prisoners last night and there will be another tomorrow  The Christmas menu don't call for turkey, but there will be fresh ham and plenty of home-grown vegetables and pie for dessert.

The prisoners will also receive gifts including extra cigarettes and fruit. Carolers from four of the local churches will sing at the prison tonight and tomorrow.

Last night Santa Claus visited the prison and greeted each prisoner personally. One prisoner awaiting sentence — which promises to be a long one — asked Santa for "thirty days."
