John O’Donnell submitted this photo of his grandfather Harvey (below on right), a motorman for Philadelphia Rapid Transit. The banner on the front of the car advertises a Willow Grove Park farewell concert for John Philip Sousa, a composer and conductor known for American military and patriotic marches. Sousa and his band played at the park every year but one between 1901 and 1926.
