Fanny Chapman, 1943

Charlotte Brown submitted this 1943 photo of a lifesaving class at Fanny Chapman Memorial Swimming Pool. The pool, named for Henry and William Mercer’s aunt, opened to the public on June 21, 1927, and has been in operation ever since.
