Joe Johnson of Dublin stopped by with this photograph of his wife, Mildred, taken about 1940 outside her house on Clinton Street in Lambertville, N.J. Joe says that while he grew up down the block from Mildred Permaar, the two didn’t meet until years later, when he spotted her at the local swimming hole on West Mechanic Street in New Hope. In June, they’ll celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
