Patricia Stauffer of Sellersville submitted this photo, taken in 1931, of Sell-Perk High School’s girls basketball team. Patricia’s mother, Betty Bergey Hollenbach, is second from the right in the back row. The photo includes (front row, from left): Evelyn Bissey Clemmer, Esther Patton Benner, Edna Houck Miller, Laurella Nase, Lillian Moore Moyer, Sara Markley Hanns and Adele Sterner Barndt, as well as (back row, from left) Gladys Kramer Ziegenfuss, Francis Gulick Brownlow, Mary Weigner, Marjorie Crouthamel Orr, Marie Schneider, Evelyn Hoot, Betty Bergey Hollenbach and coach Marjorie Johnson. Today, the building that was Sell-Perk High School is Pennridge School District’s South Middle School.
