Blooming Glen store

Chuck Rudy submitted this postcard of Bishop & Brothers’ dry good store, taken in Blooming Glen around 1900. In the 1870s the town was known as Moyer’s Store, after its postmaster, John S. Moyer. Some time during his tenure the name was changed to Blooming Glen. Moyer died in 1883, and on March 13 of that year William D. Bishop was appointed postmaster.
