Ely's Clothiers, Doylestown

Shopping for vintage corsets this weekend (as one does), I was delighted to discover one that was tucked away inside this box from Ely's Clothiers, a longtime Doylestown establishment.

I haven't done a research deep dive into the business, but a couple quick online searches tells us that Ely's (pronounced to rhyme with "wheelies") was established in 1900 at Main and Court streets in Doylestown, and was in business at least until the late 1960s, when it became "The Village Square." That's all I've got for now, but I'd love to hear your stories. Until then, here are some closeups and a bonus video of me clumsily showing off the bag. (Sans corset.)
